Over the last few years, I've made embarked on a number of trips to the United Kingdom where I've had the pleasure of getting to know some of the region's world-class heritage railways. Much of my holiday time in the U.K. has been spent volunteering on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways in the quaint, yet rugged landscapes of Snowdonia National Park in Northern Wales, where I helped prepare historic steam locomotives and even had the chance to climb aboard and try my hand at firing some of these iconic coal-burning relics on the unforgiving route through the Welsh Highlands. Check out this section for more videos, images, and tales from the Mecca of narrow gauge railways!
